1. Tell us your name and about your business.

My platform/ business name is “Afọláṣadé’s Yorùbá Language Hub (AYLH).”

I came about the idea basically to not just entertain but also seek the audience of the Yoruba language enthusiasts: towards learning and understanding the language and its culture in its entirety.

2. As a Yoruba teacher, what is your mission?

Our mission is two-fold:

Firstly, to provide the Yoruba language enthusiasts with fostering improvement in the four skills areas which include reading, writing, speaking, and listening — and also developing cultural awareness as they cultivate productiveness and fluency at all times.

Secondly, to nurture enthusiasts’ critical thinking abilities, by showing them how to identify, analyze, construct, and evaluate discussions of all kinds and by requiring them to actively practice these skills (both orally and in written work).

In this way, we equip the enthusiasts for success in the field, no matter what the enthusiast’s plan is.

3. What problem does your product/service solve for customers?

Our business is unique because aside from the intent of preserving the Yorùbá heritage by teaching and promoting its language and traditions, we tend to operate with humour to not just make our learners and viewers learn but also to entertain them.

4. Who is your target audience?

The Yoruba-speaking tribe is one of the largest cultural groups in Africa. Currently, there abound about 40 million Yoruba indigenes worldwide.

The Yorubas’ have been living in advanced urban kingdoms for more than 1,500 years and they have so far created a strong economy through farming, trading, and art production.

Truth be told, a lot of features stand the Yoruba-speaking tribe out amongst other great tribes in Africa, most especially its culture.

The culture of the Yoruba tribe transcends all aspects of a man’s life, namely: marriage, birth, religion, values, virtues, and all other aspects.

As such, the unique nature of the Yoruba tribe makes its culture and tradition well-respected even beyond the shores of Africa.

5. What do you offer our audience?

My wares are digitally inclined products and I am open for consultation and tutoring for the Yoruba language enthusiasts in Nigeria or the diaspora.

I can be contacted through my official social media handles; TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube.

Thank you.
